Many cultures around the world drink tea. Some people drink tea as part of social interaction, and others drink it for their health. Specific teas, such as black tea and green tea, have been tested for their positive affects on people's health. And studies have shown that these two teas can in fact benefit your body. And not just by providing a little pick me up in the morning either. Studies have shown that green tea can slow the growth of cancer cells. Everyone should take notice of these anti-carcinogenic properties, especially in an age of tremendous pollution. Studies by the National Cancer Institute, in America, have shown that powerful plant antioxidants within the tea will stunt the progression of cancerous cells. The cancer preventing properties of tea are just one of the wonderful properties of the drink.
Black tea has been found to increase the presence of certain anti-bacterial proteins in the body. Not just by a little bit either, but a considerable amount. When compared to coffee drinkers, tea drinkers actually had a concentration of disease preventing protein that was 400% higher. Clearly, these are significant health benefits to be had from drinking tea. The are even more benefits though. Mental acuity can be increased as well. A study of elderly people found that those who drink tea actually reduce their risk of mental problems by half when compared to people who don't drink tea. And the tea drinkers only had to drink a couple cups a day to realize those amazing benefits.
Green tea can help increase the rate at which calories are burned in the body. The chemicals found in green tea allow the body to more efficiently burn fat for energy. Evidence also exist to show that drinking this type of tea can help the body reduce chemicals associated with stress. While this tea forestalls senility, it also more generally improves brain functioning in all segments of the population. The caffeine contained in green tea will help improve memory and give one sharper thinking.
This tea also contains chemicals specific to plants that slow down the growth of bacteria that cause bad breath. The health benefits of drinking green and black teas are quite remarkable. The same chemicals that slow bad breath can also help people with certain bowel diseases. The bacteria limiting properties of the tea helps ease the discomfort associated with such complications. While there are obviously a myriad of health benefits directly related to the physical properties of these teas, there is also mental health relaxation that is associated with preparing a warm beverage. Taking time out of your day to prepare something that is nourishing to your body can really allow you to calm down and retreat from the stresses of everyday life. Learning about all the different types of teas can be quite an enjoyable experience. Not only will you learn about the disparate boiling techniques for each tea, but you will learn each every tea's specific chemical properties.

What Happens To Your Body When You Drink Black Tea Every Day
Some people don't need to drink black tea or coffee to wake up and be ready for the day. But then there are the rest of us. Black tea offers some advantages over coffee, depending on your personal needs. Here's what happens if you drink black tea every day.
Any coffee drinker knows that bad breath is the hoppy handmaiden that comes with the caffeinated step in your stride. If you’re slamming back a few cups of Joe on a daily basis, you may even be sporting a few mints in your pocket to hide the smell. But black tea turns your mouth into a much nicer place to be. According to Dr. Mike Golpa, a dental CEO:
Black tea helps fight bad breath. The polyphenols present in black tea kill the bacteria most commonly at fault for bad breath.
Of course, if you pour a bit of leche into your morning cup of Earl Gray, it may be a little trickier to land a morning makeout session without incident.
Golpa’s conclusion was backed up by researchers at the University of Illinois. These Midwestern minds realized the same thing in 2003 when they incubated three species of bacteria with the same polyphenols found in tea. These polyphenols slowed bacteria growth by an impressive 30 percent, which is enough to make your mouth happy. Keep watching to learn What Happens To Your Body When You Drink Black Tea Every Day!

1:08 What is black tea?
1:30 Black tea and cancer
In this video, we’re going to talk about black tea. What are the most powerful benefits of black tea? Let’s take a look.
Black tea…
• Regulates glucose
• Lowers cholesterol
• Has antiviral properties
• Has antibacterial properties
• Helps prevent cavities
• Helps decrease the risk of osteoporosis
• Helps decrease the risk of metabolic syndrome
• Helps reduce gum disease
• Has anti-cancer properties
• Supports healthy blood pressure levels
• Lowers risk of cardiovascular disease
• Lowers risk of stroke
Now, it’s important to note that you won’t see these benefits on an unhealthy diet. They can’t make up for poor diet choices. However, if you are on a healthy keto diet, black tea can help support your body and promote these health benefits.
In my opinion, the biggest benefit of black tea has to do with its anti-cancer properties.
Black tea is an oxidized version of green tea. This gives you a new compound called theaflavin. This is a powerful phytonutrient that gives black tea a red tint.
FAS stands for fatty acid synthase. What does this mean? It’s an enzyme that helps you make lipids in your body. Cancer cells happen to need a lipid membrane to exist. The enzyme that makes this fatty acid is overexpressed in cancerous tissue.
Black tea helps inhibit this enzyme. In turn, this helps lower the risk of cancer.

Both black and green tea is harvested from an evergreen, tree-like shrub known as camellia sinensis. Most likely originating in China, the camellia sinensis is thought to have first been used to brew a medicinal elixir during the Shang Dynasty (1600 BC to 1046 BC). By the Qin Dynasty in the third century BC, it had become a relatively popular drink using only the leaves from this plant, rather than mixed with other things as seems to have been common when used medicinally.

It is said that coffee is harmful to health, unlike tea. But it's important to know why tea is beneficial to health. Black tea, for that matter, has many health benefits.
Black tea (just like green tea) is plucked from a plant called camellia sinensis. The leaves of black tea, are steeped such that it can give a dark colour when used as a beverage. Also, the leaves are mature dry and processed such that it has a dark colour. Black tea has extremely low caffeine content, which is great for circulation.
Fluoride is another content of black tea and thus allows oral and bone health. Black tea, contains flavonoids which are also found in apples. Unlike green tea, black tea, once processed eliminates all antioxidants existing in it. Black tea not only helps to fight bacteria but also strengthens the immune system. As one knows, drinking tea hydrates the body, thus a cup of black tea helps moisturise the skin. Black tea also balances the hormone levels, which fends off stress. Not only does black tea have anti-inflammatory qualities, it also keeps a check on the digestive tracts functioning. It can help reduce stroke risks as it balances the cholesterol level.

SUMMARY:
- If you currently drink your tea with milk and 3 packets of sugar or honey and the tea itself isn’t zero calories, then you’re adding a lot of liquid calories to your diet — even more so if you drink more than one cup of tea a day. If you suddenly stop, it will make you lose weight!
- If you’re in the habit of drinking a zero-calorie tea every night before bed and then you stop, your body might come to expect a treat at that time of night. If tea isn’t an option, it can make you reach for a high-calorie snack instead.
- The vincamine compound in periwinkle tea can increase blood flow to the brain; the combination of caffeine and catechins in green tea can improve your reaction time and memory: ginseng tea combined with ginkgo can, in the short-term, improve concentration.
- Teas are known to pack a punch of antioxidants, particularly green and black teas. They protect against cell damage from free radicals, promote good heart health, and reduce the risk of infection.
- Certain teas like chamomile, valerian, decaffeinated green tea, and passionflower contribute to a good night’s sleep. Chamomile and the L-theanine compound in green tea can also reduce stress.
- A lot of teas contain a good amount of caffeine. If you’ve been drinking one of them, perhaps green tea, oolong tea, black tea, or white tea, then you can expect to go through caffeine withdrawal for starters. You might experience fatigue, headaches, irritability, and depression.
- The menthol in peppermint acts as a muscle relaxant; lemon balm can reduce the stress hormone cortisol; the flavone chrysin compound in passion flower tea has been shown to have anti-anxiety effects.
- Many herbal and unsweetened teas are good for digestion. If you’ve been drinking chamomile, dandelion root, ginger, fennel, licorice root, and peppermint tea, you’ve probably seen their powerful effects in reducing bloating, treating upset stomachs, reducing nausea, and easing stomach cramps.

Why drinking tea on an empty stomach is unhealthy
When you get a good nights sleep and wake up in the morning, your body is low on energy. It needs food to recharge your batteries. In such a condition the first thing that many people do is have a cup of tea.
Different places drink different kinds of tea in the morning – black tea, herbal tea, milk tea and green tea being among the most popular types of tea. The one thing common - is that all of them are served hot.
Today we are going to explain why this is an unhealthy habit.
When you have anything on an empty stomach your body tries to digest it quickly considering it needs energy. Digestive juices are released to digest the tea. The digestive juices and the hot tea mix together inside your stomach and form a liquid which has an extremely low pH. This will slowly degrade your inner stomach lining. This can create stomach ulcers and is the perfect place for bacteria such as helicobacter pylori to settle in.
Now, because your body needs energy, it tries to absorb nutrients from the stomach lining which contain small blood vessels. This tends to lower the pH of the blood.
When you do this everyday it can lead to your blood pH permanently becoming low. This condition is called acidosis. This can cause severe problems in the kidneys and liver leading to lifestyle diseases such as gallbladder stones, varicocele and migraines.
The solution is simple. Every time you want to have tea, just eat something cooked along with it. Understanding your body will help you live a long and healthy life.

Drink Black Tea DAILY, THIS Will Happen To Your Body!
Perhaps not as popular as green, white and herbal tea varieties, more and more health conscious individuals are beginning to consume black tea regularly for its many health promoting abilities. In fact, black tea is quickly becoming one of the more popular teas around the world. Now, lets discuss some of the amazing health benefits of drinking black tea regularly.
1. First, black tea is an antioxidant powerhouse and contains numerous potent antioxidants. This allows black tea to help fight and eliminate free radicals while decreasing the risk of cell damage and certain chronic diseases. Black tea is high in polyphenols, flavonoids, theaflavins and catechins to name a few.
2. Studies have also shown that black tea can be very beneficial for our overall heart health and may reduce the risk of developing heart disease. This is often attributed to the high amount of flavonoids in black tea, which has been shown to have numerous heart health benefits, such as regulating blood pressure, lowering high cholesterol and regulating triglyceride levels in the body. The potent antioxidants are also helpful in this regard.
3. Surprising to some, but consuming black tea regularly can also help to improve cognitive function, including focus and alertness. This is attributed to black tea’s caffeine content as well as an amino acid known as L-theanine. L-theanine can help to increase alpha activity in the brain, leading to better focus, alertness and even relaxation.
4. Lastly, consuming black tea regularly can help to improve gut health and digestion. The powerful polyphenols found in black tea can help to maintain a healthy gut due to its promotion of good bacteria growth, while at the same time, reducing bad bacteria. As well, black tea has antimicrobial properties, which can lead to better digestion and even repair the lining of the digestive tract.

What is Black Tea?
Black tea is a type of tea that is more oxidized than oolong, green and white teas. Black tea is generally stronger in flavor than the less oxidized teas. All four types are made from leaves of the shrub (or small tree) Camellia sinensis. Two principal varieties of the species are used – the small-leaved Chinese variety plant (C. sinensis subsp. sinensis), used for most other types of teas, and the large-leaved Assamese plant (C. sinensis subsp. assamica), which was traditionally mainly used for black tea, although in recent years some green and white have been produced.
What is Green Tea?
Green tea is a type of tea that is made from Camellia sinensis leaves that have not undergone the same withering and oxidation process used to make oolong and black tea.[1] Green tea originated in China, but its production has spread to many countries in Asia.
Several varieties of green tea exist, which differ substantially because of the variety of C. sinensis used, growing conditions, horticultural methods, production processing, and time of harvest.

What's The Difference Between Green Tea and Black Tea (Green Tea Vs Black Tea Difference)
What's the difference between green tea and black tea? The difference is much more than the colour difference between the two teas.
I know you are well aware of what green tea is and you are also familiar with black tea. But there are differences between the green tea and the black tea. And like I said the difference is much more than the colour disparity.
Both the green tea and the black tea actually come from the same plant. The plant is called Camellia Sinensis.

I have been getting lots of requests for a tea review video, and since I drink 1-2 cups daily, I thought it was time! Shopping for tea can be really confusing, there's loose leaf versus bagged tea, organic versus conventional, flavored teas, herbal tea, and more. Basically it comes down to this, you really want to buy organic, other countries can spray tea leaves with chemicals that are banned here. Loose leaf tea is where it's at, that is the best quality, especially compared to the dust in a tea bag. Look out for flavored teas, most time they are using those sneaky natural flavors. Summary:
1. You’ll be more energetic: For those with endless to-do lists and workouts to crush, black tea can be your secret weapon. It contains more caffeine than other teas, but less than coffee. That means you get the energy boost without the crash. In addition to caffeine, black tea also contains small amounts of theophylline, which is a stimulant that can increase your heart rate. They work together to help you feel awake, alert, and able to take on the day. When you need a boost before the gym, prep a meal, or get outside, reach for black tea and consider those goals met.
2. No More Bad Breath: If you regularly drink black tea, you've probably noticed that it makes you feel a lot better. The polyphenols present in black tea kill the bacteria that causes bad breath. Bear in mind that if you add dairy products to your cup, that might change the equation just a little.
3. Lower Cancer Risk: Perhaps the most-studied health benefit of tea is its anti-cancer effects. While most of the studies have been on green tea, there is a growing body of evidence showing that black tea also plays a role in cancer prevention. The polyphenols in tea help stop the formation of potential carcinogens in your body. This is particularly true with certain types of cancer, such as ovarian, lung, prostate, colorectal and bladder cancer.
4. Better Immunity: The tannins in black tea don't just give it its taste. Several studies have shown that tannins help fight the flu, dysentery, and hepatitis. Black tea also contains particles that help boost your body’s immune response and increase immunity.
